United bank of India Detailed Research Report

Year ending March 31, 2010, the book value of United Bank of India comes to Rs. 91. Having said that their net NPA is also pretty high. I'll continue to hold this till it reaches close to book value.

I always personally rate bank stocks based on 2 parameters, book value & NPA, with book value on the top of the list. At Rs. 66 the ratio of book comes out to 0.7, which is low and definetly commands a hold. I would wait for the results which should be expected soon and based on that I'll make the decision on this.
